This isn't really an issue but...

If you had to manage 100+ backupexec server's across NY how would you do it? Each server is probably 6 job's each. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

How do you want to manage the 100+ backup servers? Do you want a centralized server from where you can manage all the Backup Servers in the network or you want to manage them individually?

For the former, there is a new feature in Backup Exec 10.0 Version called CASO (Central Admin Server Option).

For this you will have to purchase the license to activate the CASO feature and once the license is installed the options are activated to be chosen in the installation wizard.

And the backup servers that are managed by this Central Admin Server are called Managed Media Server (MMS). Please refer to the following document :

Please write to us if you have further queries related to this.

Hi,

Sorry for the re-post. You can also install a Remote Administration console from which you can manage servers where Backup Exec is installed.

For more information on how a remote administration console can be installed and used. Please refer to the admin manual of Backup Exec 10.0 ( Page Nr. 56).

Also you can use the Backup Exec Web Administration Console. Please refer to the following document.
