Backupexec job engine keeps crashing cashing: alert:The drive hardware is o

We are now getting backupexec job engine crashing on 2 different servers when doing incrementals for a synthetic job.


We get this alert:

(Server: "NAS1") (Job: "Full Synthetic Backup Selection-Policy_Synthetic - CS-Incremental Template") The drive hardware is offline!

All drives are online and fine, these are backup to disk folders we are using.



The Backup Exec Job Engine service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Faulting application bengine.exe, version 10.1.5629.23, faulting module ImageBasedFHPlugin.dll, version 10.1.5629.19, fault address 0x00006ef4.

The application, C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\bengine.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 07/06/2006 @ 07:49:16.718 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 01176EF4 (ImageBasedFHPlugin)

Do you see any active alerts in the Alerts tab?

* Ensure that the "display Progress indicators" option has not been selected in tools> options > preferences.

Do you have Service Pack 1 for Windows 2003 installed? if not, please run the following utility to check if there are any mdac mismatches found. Please let us know what the result is:

that option was not turned on and the problem still persists..... This entire ADBO needs to be revamped!

Hi,

Whats the maximum size of the Backup to Disk files?

Try reducing the size of the Backup to Disk files?

Are the Backup to Disk folders created on the local partition or on any remote server?
