Backups fail after perfomring restore

We have a few servers using backup exec 9.1 . Many times after a restore the next scheduled backup will fail. We may be restoring just one file. The only way we've found to get a successful backup after a restore is to stop and restart the backup exec services after every restore job. If we stop and restart the backup exec services after a restore, the backups do not fail.

Does anyone have an idea what may be causing this ?

Thanks

Hi,

It was a known issue. The problem was resolved in the service pack.

The latest service pack is here:

VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers revision 4691 - Service Pack 4a - Includes Critical Security Update

http://support.veritas.com/docs/280008

Please update the Remote Agents as well after you have installed the patch on the media server.
