Basic question about the start times for jobs (BE 12.5)

This is an information-seeking question and not necessarily a troubleshooting question.

Can anyone explain to me why the original start time and actual start time for a job would be different? All of my jobs have an "original start date" that is 3 days or so earlier than the "Job Started" date. Is this something that happens due to a missed job, as in if I miss a job on Monday due to lack of media or whatever, the next time that job runs it will be trying to run that missed job?

Hi there,

Not sure if this is the same thing, but in your job that you create, you have a date that the job goes into effect. That's all it is...the date the backup would start from. Most of my jobs show in 2008 when BEWS 11D was installed (and carried over when upgrading to 12.5), but in Job Monitor it shows the days on which the jobs will run (GFS policy).
So that is correct what it shows in Job Setup, and nothing to worry about. You could actually set up a job now, and have it run in 6 months time...

Let me know if this is correct or not!
