Beserver.exe is constantly using CPU when not running a job

Server is Windows 2008 R2 64bit, BE is 2010 R3 with SP2.

Beserver.exe is constantly using CPU, and I have found it seems to be related to the CRF reporting

The CRF.log file has lots of these happening evey minute and it seem to happen when the CPU increases

I have tried this article and it made no difference :

I have a similar server where the BEserver.exe is fine, but its running MS report Viewer redist 2008 Sp1 and 2005, where this server is only running 2005 with the latest hot fix?

Has anyone seen or fixed this problem?

Many thanks

It seems it was Kaspersky Antivirus's real-time scanner causing the Symantec CRF reporting to continually reinitialize.

Once I added a AV exception to Kaspersky the BEserver.exe CPU usage has gone down to nothing.

Cheers

Have you tried un-installing & re-installing .NET 3.5 from the server ?

This is a new server built only 2 weeks ago, and as it 2008 R2 .NET 3.5.1 is a feature of the OS, so at this stage I am thinking .NET 3.5.1 should be ok.

I can give it a try if you think it is worth it, but I am thinking the MS report Viewer redist 2008 Sp1 might be a better option, the only thing is this server only has SQL 2005 for Backup Exec so I am not sure if MS report Viewer redist 2008 Sp1 will work with it.

The thing I would really like to know is what is the CRF reporting is doing 4 times every minute, it doesn't look like it is erroring out with these entries in the logs, I would be happy to turn off this reporting if I do not need it to reduce CPU usage.
