I'm a litle surprised at how light your documentation is on SQL backup and recovery. With that said, I'm looking for an explanation of how to accomplish the following with Backup Exec 10.0.
Normally, using just SQL tools, I dump out a full backup of the databases at a particular time each day. After that, I start dumping transaction logs every hour. This allows me to recover wihtout loosing any more than an hours worth of data.
I would like to accomplish this using Backup Exec 10.0. Can you explain to me what jobs I would need to accomplish this same strategy and what settings I would use?
