Bex 10 IDR wizard problem

Hi

I upgraded a testserver from 9.1 to 10.0

The server is a win2000 sp4 and has a standalone DLT drive.

When I run the IDR wizard and gives a alternative path to the IDR info "c:\idr" in this case the wizard closes wo any warning.

When I restart B Exec the idr wizard appears again and I cannot get it to comlete.

Any ideas?

Make sure the Remote Registry service is running, then try the wizard again.

Try an alternate path for setting the basic IDR parameters:

Open Veritas
Select TOOLS the OPTIONS
In the properties box, scroll down under SETTINGS and select INTELLIGENT DISASTER RECOVERY

Make any necessary changes to your primary and alternate data paths then select OK.

Try the wizard again.

Hello there,

The issue may occur if the remote registry service is not started or system has does not have sufficient permissions:

Suggest you to:
1. Ensure that Remote Registry Service is started and set to start automatically.
2. SYSTEM account has Full Control of the software registry key.
3. SYSTEM account has Full Control of the software registry key.

Let us know if this helps.
