Can't connect to remote agent

Well, we've been having some problems with one of our backup jobs not being able to connect to the Remote Agent.

What i've tried:

   Reinstalling the agent - serveral times
   Disabling the windows firewall.

Any other ideas or even a fix would be greatly appreciated.

We're having the same issue and even started my own topic but no one seems to know or has run into this problem before.

Does anyone know how to fix this???

Check your port.  Remote Agent uses 10000 and I found a conflict with a server that was using that same port.  Changed the port on the other program, and probably resolved.
