Can't install 9.1 because of SQL install failure

Keep getting the "The wizard was interrupted before VERITAS Backup Exec (TM) 9.1 for Windows Servers could be completely installed." message.

Have followed the procedures for this problem in the knowledge base but still can't get it to work.

The hardware is a Dell Poweredge Server with a fresh install of Server 2003. Had exactly the same problem on an identical piece of kit last week but that was solved by running the Windows updates, that has been done on this server too, except for SP1 which can't be installed as it seems to be incompatible with this particular Poweredge model.

Any suggestions.
