Can't overwrire on media

Hi,
When the cassette is full i can't overwrite it the job
is stay in loading media.
I have backup exec 9.1

I define in media set on properties :
In the overwrite protection period i set : 0 houres
In the append period i set : infinite - allow append.

sure ! If the tape gets filled 100%, the system requests a second tape. It can not just overwrite the old tape ! Doing so would write a new tape header, leading in being unable to restore (or even read) the date previously written to the end of the same tape, just before it got filled 100 %.

You need to provide a second tape or ensure, the tape does not get filled 100 %. (by editing the overwrite protection and append period according to the data volume being written to tape daily.)

I have another few cassette.
before i was change backup server all works fine.
if the tape was full so the next backup was overwrite the tape, this is not happing now so i gussing some configurations is worng.
addional if in a middle of backup the cassette is full so automatic the backup was continue with a diffrent tape.
again this not happing now.

are you using a tape loader or multiple standalone drives ?

Any alerts from BE when the tape is full ?
