Can the reported error message be modified?

We have a new server with 9.1 on it (Clean install) that is reporting “Failed” when it completes backing up 23 Gig of data,
In reality after checking the logs closer it’s due to open files it did not backup, to me this should be a “Backed up with exceptions“ not failed like the rest of our 30 servers show.
I have heard that there is a registry tweak that can be made to change the level of this reported error.
Am I missing something here?

Hi,

As mentioned in the previous post, skipped file should not result in a failed backup.

Assuming the solution provided is correct. Also, there is no response from the customer within 2 days from the last reply by Veritas
