Cannot attach to remote exchange Server

I have only 2 servers in my domain. the backup server is also a domain controller. And the exchange server is on the secondary domain controller. Outlook 2003 is installed on the backup server along with the exchange management tools.

but i still cant attach to the server.

any ideas?

Have you installed the Remote Agent correctly?

I had similar problem recently. Found out my Exchange server was offline. Restarting IIS solved the problem.
