Cannot create dedupe storage folder

W2k8 R2 server, BE 2010

I am testing the dedup option before I purchase and so far, not so good.

When I attempt to create the dedupe storage folder, I get this error:

An error occurred while creating the deduplication storage folder

I created a folder on a volume located on a PS6000 drive array (F: drive)
I created a folder on the local E: drive for the storage database
The account I am using is my normal BE service account, which is a domain admin account.

Iscsi initiator is set up correctly.  Just in case, I have restarted the BE services.

I have tried many different local locations to place the dedupe storage, but nothing works, same error every time.

I turned on debugging, but the only errors appear to refer to MS clustering and this server is not in a cluster, so no clue where that's coming from.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

64Bit OS?  Just had to ask...

Other than that, you may want to do a repair of BE, or uninstall the dedupe option, and try and re-add it?

I did a repair install and was able to create the folder.  Thanks for your help.
