Catalog fails after doing inventory

I have a backup for last six days all of them having different problems. We are doing backup on External Hard Drive. when i do inventory it gives me successful message but when i do cataloging on the same inventoried media it fails after doing around 2-3 gb of data.

Kindly Advice.

Hi
This is in reference to your problem, please try the following steps:
>Stop BE services
>Empty Catalogs folder
>Start BE services
>Deselect "use storage media based catalogs"

For test purpose create a new back up to disk folder and perform a backup and verify the results

After these steps please try to catalog
