Cleaning Tape Issue??

Do we need cleaning tape all the time insside the cartridge.

Or we can use when we need to clean the tape.??

Not necessary...I run a cleaning tape with either BE or the device itself requests it.

It depends on whether or not you want BE to run a cleaning tape EVERY time it picks up an error (potentially shortening the life of your cleaning tape), and if you do, you forgo the option of using a normal backup tape in that slot.

We use cleaning tapes only when it is requested by BE.  I read cleaning to often can actually shorten the life of your tape drive.  Best to just clean when requested to do so by BE.
