Connecting backupexec 2010 R3 clients from 2010R2 Server???

Hi tech Experts,

I was wondering if it is possible to Connect Backupexec 2010R3 Client from 2010 r2 Server,I have two media servers(2010 R2 and 2010 R3),I cannot connect 2010 R3 Client from 2010 R2 Media server,it prompts me with Logon Account selection and does not connect,

Is there any way to connect it,I donot want to update the Server now to r3?

Any help would be appreciated..

Without upgrading, there is no way to connect your BE 2010 R2 media server to your BE 2010 R3 remote agents.  BE is downward, but not upwards compatible.  Furthermore, BE 2010 R3 has enhanced security.  Hence it is not surprising that you are unable to connect to the BE 2010 R3 agent with your BE 2010 R2 media server.
