hello to all!
We use Backup Exec 2010 R2 (Rev.4164)-32bit
I want to backup files on a physical server. The agent is already installed but when i select the server in the source list (All ressources > domain > Server) i get the follow error message (german):
"Beim Versuch, den Inhalt von [Servername] zu durchsuchen, trat ein Fehler auf. Es konnte keine Netzwerkverbindung mit dem Server hergestellt werden."
I reinstall the agent on the server but i got the same message. the eventlog on the server didn´t log any error. when i connect to the server via explorer, everything works fine.
We define a weekly backup Job that works fine until two month ago. But i can´t see any changes in the server envioment before the job fail first time. (error code E000FE28).
all other server in our enviroment works fine.
Does anybody know where i can start to solve the problem?
Thanks a lot for helping!
best regards
wilfried

Hi
Try the following steps.
1) Make sure the remote agent is updated.
2) Port#10000 should be used only by beremote.
3) firewall is turned off.

On the remote server, check that the BE remote agent service is running on the remote server before running the backup.
