Copy a tape.

I have a job that spans multiple tapes. I would like to make a copy of tape 6 of 7. Is this possible? The method I have tried is restoring tape 6 to a available harddrive. However, every time I run the restore it asks for the previous media. Let's assume I don't have the previous media. Why can't I just restore that tape only? Help.

When I try to restore a tape it asks for the previous tape. I only want the contents of the tape in the drive.

I have followed the steps in the documents. It keeps asking me for other preceding tapes. I just want to duplicate or restore this one tape. Why is it so difficult?
