Copypool for Offsite in Backup Exec

Hi,

I`ve two backup exec servers, one is Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3 version 13 and another is Backup Exec 2014 version 14.1. connected with HP VTL.

Now there is requirement from customer side to send medias to offsite on weekly basis for some critical servers with weekly full backups, however these servers are getting backed up on VTL. So there is need to move these data onto tapes.

Is there any option of moving VTL data to LTO tapes in Backup Exec, there in option in TSM and Netbackup however not so familier with Backup Exec.

Please suggest in this regard.....

You should be able to create a duplicate job, and then duplicate between the VTL and the physical tape drive itself. You also don't mention where the tape drives are connected too.

If on separate media servers like you have below, then you would probably need Enterprise Server Option, and specifically the CASO capability to do so, and then have to upgrade both media servers to the same version of Backup Exec.
