DLTV4 Tape Drivers not working

OldSchoolAdmin

I recenlty upgraded from BE 11D to BE2012  now I cannot get my DLTV4 drive to respond to commands from the software.

When I lookin the sys log it shows  "The device, \Device\Scsi\cpqcissm1, is not ready for access yet."

This tape drive worked yesterday, I know its a matter of drivers, but I cant find the one for this drive.

Have you tried using the "Configure Storage" option to install symantec tape device drivers?

I have used that to uninstall the tape drivers, and now to reinstall them, and still no luck. It can see the DLT, know its there, just wont erase a tape, or label a tape, or even spin a tape.

Have you check that your tape device is supported by BE 2012.  See the HCL below

Was really a blessing in disguise. I uninstalled it, changed back up plans to a local disks instead of a tape drive. Things are going perfect now.
