Newbie here. I have been backing up 2 servers (SBS2003 + Win2K) to a hard drive and was running out of space too quickly. So I bought the DLink DNS-323.
Well, so far I can't get Backup Exec 10.0d to work with it.
When I tried to add a "backup to folder" it wouldn't let me, saying it couldn't find the G: drive (the new map I had created). The only way Backup Exec would allow me to set up the folder was through a share \\backup\volume_1. Any other method give me a error, that BE cannot find the folder.
Backup Exec gave me an "unknown error", and when I looked it up, it said I should be using a domain account to do the backup. I already am and it was working fine with the singular hard drive.
I need to make sure that the backup works properly and I would hate to have purchased this for nothing. I hope someone knows how to get backup exec to work and is willing to explain it to me.
