Delete full backup without deleting incremental backup

Hi all,

I have following problem: I made a full backup and incremental backups on a disk drive, then duplicated the full backup onto a tape. Due to a space disk problem I need to delete the full backup. When I try to delete the full backup on the disk, BE2012 wants to delete the incremental backups too. Is there a way to link the incremental to the duplicate full backup?

Thx for your help,

Jennifer

Thanks Riyaj for your quick answer

Is there any other way I can delete this backup (Expire date is in one year) and keep the incremantal?

I don't think that can be done in BE 2012. Even if you keep incrementals and delete the full, the incrementals are not gonna be of any use because they are linked to the Full backup job. Without the Full backup set, you won't be able to restore from the incrementals.
