Denied Access to backup Exchange mailboxes

Running BK10.1d OK for over 1 year. with exchange module, backing up exchange 2003 sp1 on windows 2003 sp1. As of two nights ago we recieved error reports in log v-79-57344-33928. I decided to recreate the job after many dead ends. I can select everything except the mailboxes checkbox. it prompts me for an account with access. I am now even trying a domain administrator account. Any idea what I can do here? Otherwise, exchange is running good.

Hi,

Have you assigned t administrator and domain admin rights + exchange full admin rights to this account?

Also check if this account is hidden in the Global Address List..(you can check this from the exchange advanced tasks tab..)

If it is hidden, then unhide it.

There are now at least 6 people who've posted on the forum with the exact same problem, including me. I changed nothing other than installing 10d service pack 2. The evening after the service pack was installed the Exchange Mailbox backup started failing w/ access denied errors.

Has Symantec verified this isn't a problem w/ the service pack?
