Duplicate to tape hang, always the same server and 40106 bytes

We have an Exchange 2007 server which does a backup to disk and duplicate this job to tapes in a robotic tape library. The backup to disk job is always successful, but the duplicate to tape hangs since 6 days after 40106 bytes. Cancel the job hangs also, so I have to restart all BackupExec services to cancel the job. After the job is cancelled, the other duplicate jobs run correct.
If I restore some emails from the disk backup, BackupExec writes 'e00081d9 - The Backup Exec job engine system service is not responding.' and the services icon in the console appears to be stopped.
