Eject tape on completion of backup job

Eject tape on completion of backup job.  We are using a quantum superloader 3.  We were able to do this prior with a single tape drive.  I thought i read somewhere that this is not possible with a loader but there has to be a work around.

Do you want the tape just to go back to it's slot?

Or do you want the tape moved to the Export Portal?

I would like to eject the tape from the device.  We have a person that handles the tapes but does not have access to BE and does not know how to eject the tape from the unit itself.

You could use the BEMCMD command line utility to move the tape from the slot to the Export Portal using the
-o81 option

See the Comand Line Utility guide for details

I just talked to support and they said that this is not possible.  Oh well i guess

I'm sure that you cannot do it as part of the job like you can with a stand-alone drive, but you can run BEMCMD from a CMD file with Windows Task Scheduler, set for after the backup job ends
