We use Backup Exec 8.6. I ran a full backup and it took 8 hours, which is kind of normal. But, when I ran an incremental backup it took 9 hours. The rate at which the Full Backup ran was 126 MB/min, whereas the rate for incremental backup was 56 MB/min.
Why did it take a longer time to backup much fewer data than it did for much larger data?
I clean my drive once, when I get an alert informing me that it's time for cleaning. Should I be cleaning it more than that? I read that overcleaning could cause damage to the drive.
