How do I set up email notification, so it notifies me when specific jobs fail? I don't want to be notified when the job completes, and I don't want to be notified when any job fails, only specific ones.

First configure the alert category for the failed job and then as you want only the job failed for the specific jobs then you have to open the job property for the jobs and click on notification on the left side and check the recipient type. Check it only for the jobs that you want the failed alert for. Also you can check the job log with notification at the bottom to get the job details.
