Erase only uses one drive in my library

I have 3 LTO3 drives in my Tape Library. When I kick off multiple long erases, the long erases only use drive 1 in the library instead of using all 3 drives in the library. All of the other long erase jobs sit at queued status untill the active job ends and the next job can use the first tape drive. Is there any way to fix this or is it a limitation of Veritas?
