I was backing up the server without any problems for months. Last weekend I recieved an error stating: "The target computer is running a previous version of the Backup Exec Remote Agent. You must upgrade the Remote Agent." I added AOFO to this server. I also received a handful of AOFO errors. So I tried to push the new agent to the server it failed. So then I remoted into the server and tried to install the agent by mapping a drive and doing a silent install. That�s when I noticed that I was getting Error 1603. (see below for the exact error). I also copied the install files and attempted a install from the console. I checked the KB and downloaded and ran Windows Install Clean up and followed the other directions in http://support.veritas.com/docs/272082 (deleting the directories and I renamed the registry keys instead of deleting them). I also verified that http://support.veritas.com/docs/255029 did not apply. I checked thru document http://support.veritas.com/docs/269175 it mentioned something about needed to use TCP port 10000. I verified that port was not being used. Unusual things about this server is that IIS and DCOM are both disabled. It is running Apache server, and mysql. I need to get the backups running again. Any ideas?
