Error message - e0001200

Have just upgraded Backup Exec from 9 to 11d.

Previous backup to tape works fine under 11d.

However we also installed a removal disk on a USB port for extra capacity and we have run the same backup job using this disk.

Most of the 'selections' seem to backup OK.

However with the 'First storage Group' we get the error message -

e0001200 - This operation requires a backup-to-disk folder on a local NTFS volume on the media server.

How do we get round this problem since it is vital that the total backup goes on the removable disk or it defeats the whole purpose??!!

If you wish to use the removable disk for your backups you will not be able to use the granular restore functionality of exchange or active directory.  The easiest way to get rid of this error message is to go into your backup job properties, select the Exchange section and uncheck the box for "enable restore of individual items".
