Exchange 2003 Backup Fails

Hello,

i have a w2003 veritas media server and a exchange 2003 running on w2003 server. I am just want to back up the filesystem and the information store (Mailbox store and Public Folder store) and the shadowcopycomponents. I dont want back up any mailboxes!
But the backup fails and i find the following entries in the log:

\\Server\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Mailbox store is corrupt
\\Server\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Publicfolder store is corrupt
\\Server\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Log Files is corrupt
Can anyone help me????

Have you installed the Exchange Agent ?

Can you mention the exact error message reported in the job log ?
