Exchange 2010 backup fails with the error "0xe0000380

Our most recent backup failed with the following error:

Exchange 2010 backup fails with the error "0xe0000380 - Backup Exec attempted to back up an Exchange database according to the job settings. The database was not found in the Database Availability Group (DAG)" even when there is no Database Availability Group (DAG) setup.

This is because we deleted the original public folders database and re-created it.  We then checked the selection list and only the current public folder database exists.

The problem is in both the resource order and resource credential lists a old public folder database is still present, but I have no idea how idea how to get rid of it becuase it isn't in the selection list.

Any ideas?

Hi Adam,

Recreate the selection list, add it to your job and see if this fixes it. You can also check the text version of the selection list to make sure that your original public folders are not still showing up. If they are, delete them from there too.
Sometimes when items get deleted, BE still detects it, and this causes issues. Not sure why the deletion is not detected in the software itself.

It was still in the text version of the selection list.  Removing it from there has removed it completly.

Cheers
