Exchange Backup: Missing Public Folders

Hi @ all,

we're backing up the information store and additionaly mailboxes + public folders of exchange 2003.

Problem is that the public folder selection list doesn't show all public folders - some are missing.

I can't locate the problem why some are missing. Probably someone is able to give me a tip.

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Have you given the rights to BESA account which access thiese public folders.
Please see the technote for the same:

Hello Sharvari Deshmukh,

BESA account is Exchange Admin, so it should not be a problem, otherwise the whole backup shouldn't be able to run?!

Thanks for the links, but I don't think this one is relevant for Backup Exec 10.1 / Exchange 2003... especially the first one

Hi,

When you are creating a backup job to make selections of the Microsoft Exchange Public Folders, some of the folders will be visible while others will not.

This has to do with a permissions issue.

Please see following technote and revert back with details.

Thanks,

Hello Swati Joshi,

thanks very much for the link. That was the problem. The public folders have had not integrated the exchange admin...
