Exchange Backup-to-disk with GRT is very slow

Hi,

I am now using Backup Exec 11d. But when I use exchange backup-to-disk with GRT(enable the restore of individual mail messages) to backup an exchange server in a local network(a 100Mbps ethernet), the speed is very slow compare with backup to tape. I have tested all the parts and the speeds, as followings:

backup flat files
to disk - 600MB/min
to tape - 600MB/min

backup exchange mail store(no GRT)
to disk - 600MB/min
to tape - 600MB/min

backup exchange mail store(with GRT)
to disk - 150MB/min
to tape - 600MB/min

When backup flat files, the speed for tape and backup-to-disk are nearly the same.
This means, no performance difference between my tape and disk.

When backup mail store(no GRT), they are also no difference.
This means, without GRT, all are nice.

However, backup mail store with GRT, backup to disk is very slow.
This means that backup-to-disk with GRT has some bugs.

Could any body help me this problem?

My Backup Exec version is 11d
(Build 7170) with following updates
Service Pack 2
HotFix 31,32,33,34,35,36,38,39,40,41,44

I'm having exactly the same issue: on a Gb network the backup to tape of exchange with GRT runs at 1300Mb/min, but the same backup run to local SCSI disks on the backup server runs at about 82Mb/min. very frustrating. I figure it may have something to do with the HW compression on the tape device, but I've not seen anything to confirm that.
