Exchange Backups Failing...

I'm running BE V10.0 on a W2003 Backup server, and my exchange jobs keep failing with this error..
Final error: 0xfffffe7a - 0xa000fe7a (2684419706)
Final error category: Other Errors

It's trying to backup Exchange V5.5 Has anyone seen this before..Please note that, none of these Server have any service packs installed yet...? I'm awaiting the ok on that one...Any advice would be great...Check briefly on Veritas support pages, it just keeps telling me about other references to that..Has anyone got a solution...?

ERROR a000fe7a HEX:
This could happen if your Exchange database is inconsistent. At the first step, we would suggest you to run the backup of Exchange mailboxes and First Storage Group using the native NTBackup Utility.
If NTbackup results runs into errors then most probably your exchange database is corrupt.
If the NTBackup is successful then re-run the backup using Backup Exec.
