Exchange Cluster Backup - Cannot restore individual items ?

Hi,

We've got an exchange cluster, have installed the remote agent onto both nodes and backup of the information store is successful
-BUT-
it says that the remote agent does not support the restore of individual items ? How can that be ? Is there an option I might have missed ?

The backup is otherwise successful - but I need the function to restore individual items !

Please help asap.

If there is no Return Value 3, then there was no failure captured. You can post the entire log, but in doing so you will expose your server names, I would caution against posting the entire log.

Just got them - but that are the "normal" update / patch files ! They didn't work in the first place :(

Within the patch file, there is a setup file, within the setup file are the actual files I need...

As I explained, the normal install of the patch on one of the nodes failed in the first place and as the log isn't really saying what's wrong, I would need the actual files which would be used to manually install the agent on the node (i.e. what ever would be in the RAWS\ folder - for 32bit of course).

you are not going to be able to "Crack open" the file and install from the package. The RAWS.MSP package is what is updated on your system. This works with the setup.exe program and the MSI Installer to be installed on your media servers.

But I cannot execute the 32-bit version on the 64-bit server !

Maybe there's a work around or a 2 patches in one kind of thing ??

I have similar configuration and I'm having the same problems... Please let me know if you resolved this issue. I will call Symantec next week otherwise.

Ok I read the doc, but when will this be fixed? as it is certainly an operational bug.
