Exchange backup not flushing log files.

Hi,

We are running veritas 9.1 rev 4691 and I have setup a scheduled job which backs up microsoft exchange and is set to backup type Full - Database & Logs (Flush commited logs.

The problem I have is that it doesnt appear to be flushing the commited logs for whatever reason and this is causing it to take up excess disk space on the drive.

Is there something I am missing?

That should be the correct settings. Is the BE account an Exchange admin ?

The credentials for the backup job is set to system logon account which is domain\administrator so it should have full permissions on exchange.

I have cleared all the log files by running an ntbackup for now, and I will monitor it over the next few weeks.

- Kindly refer the following document

After a backup of an Exchange 2000 Information Store, the transaction logs are not flushed, even if the backup method was set to "FULL (flush committed logs)" or "INCREMENTAL (flush committed logs)".
