Running an incremental backup and log clear on our clustered Exchange 2003 store, on Win2003 SP1, I received the following error:
0xe000030c - Exchange failed to return any log files when backing up the database.
When checking the logs directory \MDBDATA\ on the first server, I saw that the logs had cleared down, however, on the second server, they had not. I've since run a backup again to see if I could clear out the logs, and if this error was just a blip. Again, first server had cleared down, but the second server had not.
This is worrying as the only way around this error and getting the logs cleared that I've found if Symantec fails is clearing them logs by doing a full ntbackup and flush logs, and I don't have enough storage space to do that any more (I've only got 100Gb spare and a database of over 400Gb). Poor planning, I know, but how can I get around this before my server bursts with too many log files?
