Excluding whole directories, not just files

Good afternoon

We have a certain directory in every user's home where the user can store data which will not be backed up. Now I obviously wanted to exclude this directory from the back up using the global exclude list, but it seems that BE just looks for files named like the given pattern and ignores directories, as my test showed.

Is there another way to approach this? The data is stored on a Windows Server.

Kind regards

Ok, I think I figured it out, was actually quite logical. I put in "\\*\*\**\hist\" as the path, and *.* for the file selection. If somebody could confirm this I'd be grateful.

Good morning

Thank you, but I already have found this document.
But since I want to exclude a directory and not a file, I asked if I did it the correct way, so I don't exclude anything I don't want to.

Path: \\*\*\**\hist\
File: *.*

Kind regards
Andr?

PS: The forum screws up my name at some point, in the text message and in the menu. Someone might want to look at it :)Message was edited by:
