Exhange MailBox dismounted after backup

hi, symantec experts

I have some problems backing up Exchange.

I just cannot find a way to make a successful backup without any exception or error messages.

Most common error = V-79-57344-33928 - access denied

I’ve tried many ways to backup exchange

Option 1 -only backing up individual usersmailboxes and not the information Store, because some users are disabled in the active directory.

Option 2 backup only the information store

Option 3 selected different advanced open file technology's

Option 4 enable/disable restores of individual mail messages

 

Besides that their is one major problem.

Because I’m still unable to backup exchange correctly I’ve decided to just to remove any exchange related data from the backup job and temporarily enabled cache mode on local workstations.

Even after exchange is not in the backup job the, mailbox store found in the exchange manager is dismounted after every backup job.

It means that every morning i have to remotely mount the mailbox store before the users arrives at the office.

Sometimes the mailbox store stays mounted, but that’s rare.

Can someone please tell me how to backup exchange properly?

I found some tutorials on the net but they are not really understandable.

 

I’m running the following application

  • Backup exec 11d revision 7170 ( licensed - Exchangeserver- AOF-SQLserver-remote agent( workstation) )
  • Server 2003 SBS SP2 ( 13 user ( license per user)
  • Exchange 2003 SP2 ( one storage group. the largest mailbox = 2 gb )
