Export all Backup Jobs to another Machine

hallo,

i would like to export all the backup jobs from BE10.0 SP1 to an another new BE Server. We are using MSDE for saving the jobs, but how can i export the jobs to import them to another/new machine.

Hi,
rightclick the job(s) and choose "copy". In the dialogbox add the mediaserver you want to copy to.

NOTE: the "copy server configuration" feature must be installed!

i have got just one BE Server. we would like to change the HDDs, where are BE installed and thats why we just have one BE Server.

how can i install "copy server configuration"?

Ok, to save your existing config, you will find instructions to perform that action here:

Browse to the location where BE is installed, default c:\Program files\veritas\backup exec\nt, and start beutil.exe!
Go to "help" and "topics". Under "contents" find "Running Backup Exec Utility Services". From that section you will find the topic "Copy Media Server Configuration". Follow the instrucions!

During installation, one option is "copy server configuration". By choosing this option, you are able to copy jobs etc. to another existing BE media server. I don't think you need it in this case!

okay, we got the problem: Access denied while exporting the configuration. We are using the BE Administrator Account for authentification while exporting.
what are we doing wrong?

Try using domain administrator account! If that's not woking, you will find documents below related to this problem:
