Failed to backup mailboxes from Exchange 2003

My company have been using BackupExec 9.1 as our Data backup solution for 2 years. We have got Exchange 5.5 server in our network. In the past, we could backup both Exchange information store & all contents of Mailboxes without any problem.

In August, we joined Exchange 2003 server to the existing Exchange site and moved over 100 mailboxes from Exchange 5.5 to the new storage group of Exchange 2003 server. Everything seems right; however we found that the BackupExec could not backup the moved mailboxes successfully.

We checked the backup list immediately and found that all contents in each mailbox were empty. We dont think that the BackupExec system credential has got no permission to access users mailboxes because it is already the domain administrator of our Exchange organization. This user can even open all mailboxes via Microsoft Outlook.

We had ever looked for some technical solutions from your knowledge base. We had tried all solutions which the scenario were similar to our case but problem still exists up to now.

We shall be much grateful if anyone can furnish us any solutions or advices for this issue.

Hello,

Please create a new account by givig the following right:

1. create a new account on the exchange server

2. make this account part of domain admin and local administrators group

3. create a mail box account for this user

4. the mailbox should be unique
Please check the technote below for more information:

5. create a microsoft outlook profile for this user, Verify that you can send and receive mails from this account

6. Verify that this account is not hidden.

7. From exchange system manager give this account "exchange full administrator rights" at site level

8. Now go to Backup Exec-network logon accounts-create a new account
