Failed to browse the remote agent of vCenter

Hi Everyone,

I installed the BE 2010 in the W2K8 std. svr. With firewall issue, i opened the port number 902, 6101, 6103, 10000, 3527, 6625-6650 for backup and restore.

I installed the remote agent in a server which is vCenter, i can make a file system backup in this server. However, when i click the vCenter in the backup job, it failed to browse and said "Cannot connect to the vCenter ..." Does anyone knows what is my problem? Thanks a lots!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for helping me about the technote!

In one of the technote, a ping request is mentioned:

(Confirm the vCenter or ESX servers can be pinged from the Backup Exec server by server name, FQDN and/or IP. Confirm the Backup Exec server can be pinged from the vCenter and ESX hosts by server name, FQDN and/or IP)

However, we disabled the ping in our environment. Any knows if the ping must enable?
