Hello, I need some help.

 

I  have symantec Backup Exec on windows server 2003.

Recently i have my backup failed with error: FirstStorage\blabla\Logs cannot verify.

File is corrupt.

here is info:

 

Backup- \\mydomian\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group 
V-79-57344-65247 - A failure occurred reading an object.

 

Backup- \\mydomian\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group 
WARNING: "\\mydomain\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Logs" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify.

 

Verify- \\mydomian\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group 
WARNING: "Logs" is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify.

 

PLease help me, what can i do ?

Hi,

      Under Backup Job properties please fo to Advanced Open file option and uncheck the option which says use Sanapshot technology.

make sure you dont have any maintenance running during the backup job. Take a look at this article http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH177009

HI i had already unchecked option which says use Sanapshot technology . and it still has same problem.

maintance running? what do you mean ?

Maintenance running means if the Exchange maintenance job is running during the window when Backup job is running.

Is Consistency check selected in Backup Jobs?
