I have a dell 136T autoloader. It holds 28Terabytes uncompressed (72 LTO3 tapes). Is there a way to load all 72 tapes and create a Grandfaters Father Son backup with the wizard and just have Veritas pick the amoun of tapes it needs for each media set it creates? For example I load all 72 tapes and when i create the GFS it's going to create a media set called daily one called weekly and one called monthly (I think that's right) Is there a way to have veritas select how many blank tapes it's going to need and automatically add them to each media set? The reason i'm asking is because I really don't know how many to allocate to each set. I'm backing up quite a bit of data. For 100 tapes it's $10.000 so I want to streamline this as much as possible. thanks in advance.
