Getting error with Volume Shadow Copy Services

We use Backup Exec 9.1with SP1 patch running on Windows 2003 Server without Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 yet. Advanced Open File is disabled.

We experience the following error randomly on some servers and would like to know how to fix it.

Backup - STP-SPS
OFO: Initialization failure on: "\\STP-SPS\Shadow?Copy?Components". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
OFO: Snapshot error (0xfffffed1): A failure occurred querying the Writer status.

Running "VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS" on STP-SPS shows:

Hello,
If the VSS ADMIN LIST writers test says no errors try installing the SP1 for windows 2k3 which includes a Patch for VSS from Microsoft.
