Guide or howto on continous protecting SQL 2005

Hi!

Are there any guides or "howtos" on continous protecting SQL 2005 with 11d?

I understand that I have to purchase the "SQL Agent Option" to get this to work.

According to the document "Whats new" this is a new feature in 11d, see

http://eval.symantec.com/mktginfo/enterprise/fact_sheets/ent-datasheet_whats_new_symc_backup_exec_11d_for_windows_servers_11-2006.en-us.pdf

Regards,
Alexander

Hi,

Please note that 11d has a new feature :continuous protecting of Exchange and not SQL 2005.

See the technote below in this context:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/283427

Thanks,

Hi!

Thank you for your answer.

If continously protecting SQL is not a new feature, why does the PDF (the link provided in my previous post) say so?

I also got this PDF sent to me by Symantec Presale.

Regards,
Alexander

Hi!

Thank you for your answer, are there any plans to implement it into BE? If so, are there any dates for this?

Regards,
Alexander

Don't know if this is still an issue for you Alexander, but there is a whole whitepaper devoted to continuous Protection for Microsoft Sql Server Databases:
