HP Autoloader Tape Sequence

I have HP 1/8 Autoloader, I use two SDLT tapes per day and fill the autoloader with 8 tapes. I want the tapes to be used in the order 1 through 8, but veritas takes them in a random order. Support told me that it was the allocated date of the tape that was forcing veritas to use tapes out of order and to 'SCRATCH' the tapes... The tapes still have different allocated dates and the problem is still happening. How can I force the Autoloader / Veritas to take the tapes in the order 1>8 ??

Hello,
Backup exec takes tapes depending on the OPP and AP set on the tape, in conjunction with the job settings, if the job is to append it looks for an appendable tape else overwritable tapes.
If there are more than one tapes matching these requirements, it will pick up the tape depending on the allocation date.This depends on when the tape was added to the media set.You may create a media rotation policy accordingly.refer to the admin manual for more details.
