I have few questions about backup made by Backup Exec in Microsoft Tape Format.
(1) Compression:
May u plz tell me that does Backup Exec suppport compression. Which compression algorithem it internally uses for data backup. How many compression algorithms for MTF backup. Plz explain this in detail.
(2) Data Streams:
For NTFS volume, Backup Exec successfully make backup of almost 8 streams. But I m not able to make backup of the following two NTFS streams.
(i) Windows NT Extended Attribute Data Stream.
(ii) Windows NT Property Data streams.
How can i make backup of these two streams along with all the other streams on NTFS volume.
(3) Encrypted Data Stream:
For encrypted data stream, It seems that some other softwares following MTF standard have problem in restoring from the backup made by Backup Exec. I have seen that OS Specific data size used by Backup Exec is of 48 bytes while in MTF version 1, it is of 24 bytes. Which MTF version it internally used for making backup.
