Help on finding the right backup method

I have a server, that I want to protect in a way so I can always restore the files from the last 14 days.

I have an external Harddrive connected to the server, and I would like to use that disk as the backupmedia.

Also I would like to do a remote backup to a server at another site where I also want to be able to restore the last 14 days.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction please?

Before we begin, you will need a Remote Agent Licence to do what you want.

Creating the Media Set...

1. Goto the Media Tab
2. Under Media Sets Right Click and Select "New Media Set"
3. Name the Media Set (e.g. Keep for 14 Days)
4. Set the Overwrite Period to 14 Days and the Append to 14 days
5. Click Ok

Creating the Selection List...

1. Goto the Job Setup Tab
2. Under Backup Selection Lists Right Click and Select "New Backup Selection List"
3. Give the Selection List a Name
4.
Select your resources (e.g. the 2 servers)
5. Click Ok

Creating the Job...

1. Goto the Job Setup Tab
2. Under Jobs Right Click and Select "New Backup Job"
3. Using the Drop Down select the Selection List we made
4. Under Destination Device and Media
    i.  Select the Device to backup to
ii.  Apply the Media Set We Created

The other options like scheduling and using a policy are up to your discression

Thanks a lot.
I had not looked at the overwrite protection and append options.
I was about to do a setup with three mediasets, and three schedules that did a backup to each mediaset each week, and then overwriting the oldest media with a full backup every third week.

I guess I could get it to work, but using the overwrite protection is much simpler.
